Maggie the Messmaker | Buffalo Games Review & Time Lapse

Of all the artwork that Charles Wysocki has done, I think his cats are my favorite. I originally found this puzzle at Target and decided against getting it at that point because I had already blown through my puzzle budget for the month. I’m glad I didn’t because I found it the following month at one of my local thrift stores for only $4!

This is Maggie the Messmaker and she was a delight to put together. Interestingly enough, I started with the lace (with the charming mice detailing) and the desk. If you had asked me first, I would have thought I would have started with a more colorful element, like the threads. I went in without much of a plan and in the end, it wasn’t really needed. The yarn across the fur helped significantly when it came time to put together Maggie. I even left in a quick cameo of my Ollie towards the end – it seemed appropriate that a cheeky kitty would make an appearance.

Quality-wise, not too much to write home about. This is a ‘Silver Select’ Buffalo Games puzzle and apart from the box, it felt about the same quality as the Aimee Stewart Buffalo puzzle that I did a few videos ago. The box having the drawer pull and shiny mirrored interior did feel fancier than their regular boxes and while it’s not on camera, the puzzle came in a resealable plastic bag. For a budget brand, I think the quality is right on the money.

If you are interested in getting this puzzle, I’ll link it and my favorite Wysocki cat puzzles below.
